Fishing Spots

It's 5.30 am in the morning & all i keep thinking about are those cleaner type fish that were sucking on my feet whilst climbing up a rocky stream yesterday. The Last time i went fishing was as way back as April. But the good news is the Monsoon is about to change & a the New West Coast season should bring forth more fishing Trips. Starting around September the Sea should be far less choppy & ideal for fishing while the East coast goes in reverse.

Hopefully i'd be able to join the Ceylon Sea Anglers club this season. If i can come up with the money that is. But seriously, if you want to learn the best fishing spots in SL you ought to join the club. They boast of probably the biggest group of crazy fisherman i've ever seen & their organized fishing tournaments & trips are a blast.

But my Friend tells me that they were unable to renew their Long term lease of the Sea Anglers Club in Trinco. (Sunday Times Article) Such a shame! But they apparently found a new plot of land which they want to buy outright? (Rumour...?)

Anyway, If Off shore fishing is your thing & the Travel is a definite No no, i suggest you to pack up your gear & head down to the bathing steps/place in Diyawannawa Rajagiriya. (Right on Parliment road). It's usually allowed unless it's a Poya. beleive me you'd be suprised with the Catch! A throw net is perfect if you want to catch Lunch in 1 hour. But if it's the chilling your looking for this place is equally good for casting & minimum patience is required. Morning times are the best starting at around 5.30am to 8am.

If anyone knows of any Good Off Shore fishing spots close to Colombo Pls do let me know!

Monte Farno - National Seminary, Ampitiya, Kandy, Sri Lanka.

Just a small write up one of my buddies had made about the place when we visited it a couple of years back. Tranquil place to say the least! A few pics. too. We'll be going there this wednesday. Jerry, Whackster, Myself & StFallen have confirmed. Open Invitation as always.

2) The Monte-farno Monastery. A beautifully landscaped monastery which houses a copy (taken from the original) of the image of the towel with which Jesus’ face was wiped along the walk to Calvary, along with other interesting artifacts. There is a small trail that leads to the edge of a cliff with the most beautiful view of the surrounding areas. And I do mean beautiful. Many species of birds are found on this trail if you are interested in engaging in a spot of birding.A pair of binoculars should definitely come in handy when visiting this city. Remember, one should not miss out on the finer details! -
To add a bit more detail, there was actually a closed up rock chapel which i thought was quite cool. the place is so deserted & they like it that way. So voices must be kept down.

I've Lost myself

I'm in Ultra repulsive mode at the moment. When it comes to women at least.
Which is a good thing! that ought to keep me safely out of trouble for a good 2 to 3 years by which time i hopefully wouldn't have turned the full circle & fallen in love with .. er... Gerard Butler? if that's what men r looking for... not the straight one's at least.

Point being. A long break from dating has completely eroded any sense or ability of being smooth. I've become abrupt, too forthright for my own good & basically lost my Mojo. Is Mojo even a real word?

Google - Mojo originated as a term with a specific meaning, but in the late 20Th century became a very fluid term with many different meanings. It originated as a reference to a type of magic charm.

Yes it seems Austin Powers knew what he was talking about.

Sitting here in my room it seems like the World has suddenly grown very boring. Thought of writing a blog post. I might be the first to point out the benefits of being single but at the same time, gotta admit it... Sunday afternoon's have been a lot better. At least it got me writing, i like what Rob Thomas says about his Lyrical content.

In answer to ''Why ur songs r so depressing?'' the once Match Box 20 Front man says ''coz... I only write when I'm sad lonely or depressed, if I'm having a good time well I'll be having a good time not writing about it'' All that just adds up to making Rob one Sad sod, judging by the number of songs & hit tracks he's got.

Mock Me!

I'm finally on Twitter! Shame on me, taking so long.
I have to admit since finding out about early adopters, late adopters, laggards etc in marketing i fit the perfect profile of a laggard. Had to wait till my ex created my FB account, blogged only when a friend convinced me how good it was & got on twitter only when i kept reading about Lance armstrong's rants on twitter. Thought it might be quicker to just follow the bloke....
I've lost 5 mobile phones so don't beleive in the latest mobile phone technology due to potential costs of loosing one again & i'm still on Yahoo which many people remind me is kinda old given that i can't mail more than 10mb of data on a single mail, try G Mail they tell me!

Should i care... not really i guess, i just take a bit of time to find out if something's useful or not. And i think Twitter might actually be useful! I see most of the Blogsphere there already though!
